JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all licensing and related reporting activities to ensure Alorica remains in continuous compliance with applicable laws and regulations.  Monitors licenses to ensure business needs are properly supported and remain compliant with changing regulations and business activities.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Oversee, Mentor and Advise Licensing team who maintain telemarketing and collection agency licensure, registrations and related filings; balancing of department workload; setting and assigning priorities for the team
  • Consult and provide guidance to submit appropriate legal documents to state offices to ensure that licenses and permits are timely and correctly filed.
  • Develop and maintain a tracking system and repository to ensure that filings are submitted on time and that adequate planning is in place for ongoing licensure.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for licensing activities.
  • Monitoring and report changes in licensing law or licensing requirements.
  • Lead and Oversee state and federal regulatory audits regarding licensure.
  • Assisting marketing and sales in completing requests for information on licensing and registration.
  • Review registration statutes to ensure compliance with state regulations and company activity
  • Research and execute due diligence, integration of acquisitions and impact of divestitures
  • Responsible for licensing expense budgets and forecasts, ensuring costs are managed and reconciled, including outside legal services
  • Research licensing requirements for new business/locations and adding licenses to existing businesses/locations
  • Correspond with state Regulators regarding license approvals, issues or questions
  • Drive a process for required monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory filings and license renewals
  • Requests data and documentation from other departments for regulatory filings and renewals
  • Maintain document archives for all jurisdictions including submitted applications, agency document requests and regulatory reports
  • Overseeing the retention of confidential and private support materials pursuant to company policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


 

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; JD preferred 
  • Minimum of 10 years combined experience in one or more of the following fields: internal or external auditing, financial industry compliance, risk management, contracts, legal/regulatory practices, or other related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years management or leadership experience with at least 4 years’ licensing responsibility experience
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance and audit curriculums and programs required.
  • Experience leading change across multiple business functions.
  • Strong knowledge of licensing requirements and regulations
  • Experience in a BPO, collection agency or telemarketing environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to lead and manage a small remote team
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the company
  • Ability to work independently, identify and solve issues and deal with change
  • Understanding of the telemarketing and collections regulations
