Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review contracts for various required information to ensure contracts meet all previously determined criteria.

  • Edit contracts when necessary to meet basic requirements.

  • Communicate with appropriate department contact to alert of missing contract information.

  • Open a new business case for each new contract created in record keeping system.

  • Route contracts for the review and approval process through contract system and/or e-mail to appropriate Management and Executives.

  • Monitor and track contracts in the review and approval phase of contract negotiations.

  • Work with Executives to facilitate the contract review and approval process to obtain required signatures and other necessary information.

  • Review existing contracts and enter or update certain terms into the contract management system which is used to maintain various information.

  • Make recommendations to implement improved processes.

  • Coordinate legal projects which include, but are not limited to, liaising with government agencies, negotiating contracts under the supervision of the Assistant General Counsel, attending hearings, investigating and fact-finding for cases, interviewing witnesses and obtaining affidavits.

  • Analyze and organize information to produce reports

  • Monitor and review government regulations relevant to the Company and provide summary of findings or updates to Assistant General Counsel.

  • Handle and process all copying and filing needs for the department.

  • Update system contract records, log and scan contracts as appropriate.

  • Prepare legal documents, written correspondence, reports, facsimile cover sheets, and various other documents including but not limited to letters, memos, and reports.

  • Communicate daily with management team regarding status of projects and concerns for resolution.

  • Uphold company policies and client requirements.

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Graduate of Bachelor of Laws preferred, or completed at least 36 units of post-graduate law studies.

  • 2 years previous legal department experience required. 5 years previous legal department experience preferred.

  • Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Microsoft SharePoint experience preferred.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.

  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.

  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
