JOB SUMMARY
The Software Asset Management (SAM) OS is a sales role working directly with customers, partners, and client account teams to execute client’s SAM strategy.  The SAM OS is responsible for driving incremental revenue and customer satisfaction through the offering of a SAM Engagement, consisting of the analysis of a customer’s install base versus their licensing entitlements as well as a comprehensive, strategic licensing discussion to guide current and future purchasing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generate interest in Microsoft’s SAM offering through sales calls placed into pre-determined existing Mid-Market customers
  • Coordinate calling efforts with and provide engagement updates to Microsoft Account Managers
  • Schedule and facilitate engagement kick off calls with customers, partners and SAM PAMs
  • Manage sales activities and opportunities in CRM
  • Contribute in team meetings by providing feedback and ideas to leadership and peers
OTHER RELATED DUTIES
• Escalates calls to supervisor when necessary and appropriate
• Maintains and updates customer information as necessary
• Provides support and assistance as needed
• Up-sells to customer upgrades as necessary
• May perform other client specific duties as necessary and required by program/account.
• Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales/Marketing, or related fields, or equivalent sales experience
  • 1-3 years of technical sales and/or business management experience preferred
  • Account or territory management experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proven, successful sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of products
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong Microsoft licensing knowledge
  • Experience with internal Microsoft tools including:  Eolas, Explore.MS, MS CRM
  • Ability to have conversations with technical and business decision makers, Microsoft partners, and Microsoft field sales personnel

Work Environment:
• Constant work performed in a climate-controlled production floor in a sedentary position

Physical Demands:
• Constant phone use; constant sitting and/or standing
