                                                                                                                                                                                                                              JOB SUMMARY   

This individual will be responsible for the design and development of engaging instructor-led and virtual courses to advance the learning, development, and retention of support agents.  The applicant will tailor these courses to target key operational and professional needs of the organization as pertaining to specified areas of the business. The applicant will need to demonstrate the leadership skills of project management, the ability to work within a team as well as a subject matter expert, and be able to work with business leaders to determine training needs. The applicant will need to define learning objectives for a course and/or curriculum, provide instruction to achieve end-goals while creating content to match, and decide on criteria used to evaluate a learner’s performance and develop assessments. This individual will need an exceptional understanding of new design trends, ideas, and learning tools related to instructional design and content development.


Key Responsibilities:

Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge.

Create action oriented learning objectives and activities to support them.

Analyze and revise existing content.

Work with subject matter experts and identify content gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Work with business leaders to determine training needs

Define learning objectives for a course and/or curriculum

Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners.

Keep up to date on learning tools, trends, and ideas

Create and maintain templates and components for rapid courseware and development

Decide on criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments

Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods

Willingness to travel nationally and internationally. Less than 20%.

JOB REQUIREMENTS                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Minimum Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with major coursework in management, training, education, psychology, or other related field.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

Skills and Abilities:

Professional skills:

Basic HTML knowledge or understanding

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop

Basic knowledge of Authoring tools (Captivate 8, Storyline 2, etc)

Strategic thinking and project planning/management                Work Environment:
• Constant work performed in a climate-controlled training/classroom environment
• Some work performed on a call-center production floor 

Physical Demands:
• Frequent standing
• Frequent sitting
• Frequent use of hands
